This was in protest against the ball tampering charge made by the umpires Darry Hair(Aus) and Billy Doctrove(WI), who challenged the ball during the 56th over of the English 2nd innings. 5 runs were awarded for ball tampering and the ball changed. This is the first time in cricket history that match officials have decided the result.
