On July 20th 2006, Wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik created history by smashing a quadruple hundred in the SPIC-TNCA first-division league. He surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's 401, which is quite an achievement for a young talented cricketer.
Karthik struck an astounding 55 fours and seven sixes in his 357-ball knock for Jolly Rovers against Alwarpet. "I've always wanted to make a big one," said Karthik, who was India's reserve wicketkeeper during the Test leg of the West Indies tour. More in the article from The Hindu
